Sorry it's been so long since I last blogged - this flu has only just gone and has taken all my energy with it!
I have a new foundation to review for you - the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation! I had read a review about it and heard good things and thought it sounded perfect for those early mornings before work. I also decided to try the concealer from the Wake Me Up range as I get huge, dark circles around my eyes that are a pain to cover up.
The foundation aims to reawaken and illuminate your skin with a radiant glow and a natural, flawless looking finish whilst reducing any signs of fatigue. The foundation also contains SPF 15 which is great for protection against the sun's rays. Sounds perfect! You can see how the concealer and foundation look on my skin in the photo above - bear in mind I actually had flu at the time so my skin was absolutely horrible (you can still see my bags but believe me that was a huge improvement)!

| Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 200 Soft Beige - £8.99 - x This is such a change for me from my usual foundation I use - Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse which I have used for years! However, I apply it with my fingers as it's just a bit too much of a fuss applying a mousse with a brush/sponge, but I was getting slightly worried about how unhygienic it is to keep putting my fingers in a pot and then on to my face! So I thought this was worth a try and I could use it with a foundation brush. I used about 1-1.5 pumps on to the back of my hand and used the brush to put it on my face. The consistency of the foundation was great - not too runny or thick and application was really easy (I'd never tried applying liquid foundation before). The coverage was good for me, enough so that my skin tone evened out and I didn't feel too bare but also not too thick so that my skin didn't look natural - I like to be able to see my freckles still. |

The concealer is an okay product, it definitely does its job but I wasn't blown away by it, it definitely hid my bags but didn't do anything different to any other concealer! I didn't feel like it made me look less tired, but it did hide the dark circles enough for my liking. I definitely would re-purchase the foundation but maybe not the concealer, however I will use it all up as it's not actually bad.
